A myPhotoWalk along Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California, gives you a great perspective on humanity.
As you observe people, actually look into their eyes, you can't help but wonder who they are and how they are. In my heart I ask the question, "Does this person know the Lord?"
I want to always remember the words of Jesus where He described His purpose —
For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.
Luke 19:10 NLT
I am motivated by these same words with The Speaking Ministry of Quiet Time Ministries. When I stand in front of an audience, ready to deliver a biblical message, I always take a moment and look into the faces of the people. And I pray, "Lord, touch the lives of those who hear this message. Lord, You are the One who is at work in and through me." I always remember the words of Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
Let us always remember that the Lord lives in us and He is touching lives in and through us. There are people around us out in the world who do not know the Lord. They are lost. And the Lord Jesus is seeking them out and wants them saved.
There is so much joy when someone comes to Christ and their lives are transformed. What a joy to watch the amazing life transformation when that person enters into a personal relationship with Christ.
So as I watch the people walking along Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, I'm certain that there are some who know the Lord. But there are others whose hearts are restless and hungry and searching for answers. My prayer is, "Lord, touch their lives. Find a way for them to hear the gospel and be saved."
That is the preeminent purpose of The Speaking Ministry of Quiet Time Ministries!
Today let's ask the Lord to do a mighty work as He seeks and saves the lost and touches countless lives in and through us.
Lord, give us a heart to see others reached in Your name. Touch lives in and through us today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
