The Ripple Effect

A Walk In Grace

As I think of life over the last ten, even twenty, years or so, I can't help but think of the ripple effect. Every life has an impact that influences others in one way or another.

So here's the question.

How will we live our lives? Will we live for the Lord and see Him touch others in and through us?

Paul explains.

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life.

2 Corinthians 2:14-16

I remember watching these widgeon ducks land on the water with such a powerful force that ripples were created spreading far and wide across the entire lake.

I want our lives to produce a great ripple effect touching countless lives with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Every life tells a story.

So, let us determine to be intentional, spend quiet time with the Lord, live in His Word, talk with Him continually, believe His promises, and walk in obedience, joy, love, hope, and trust.

Let us pursue a life of radical intimacy, stepping out of the crowd, and drawing near to God.

Betty Scott Stam, a missionary who was put to death in China in 1934 because of her faith in Christ, wrote these words of surrender and commitment in her Bible when she was eighteen —

Lord, I give up all my own plans and purposes, All my own desires and hopes, And accept your will for my life. I give myself, My time, My all, Utterly to You, To be Yours forever. Fill me and seal me with Your Holy Spirit. Use me as you will, Send me where you will, Work out Your whole will, In my life, At any cost, Now and forever. Amen.

Betty Scott Stam

God bless you, dear friend, and may your life have a glorious ripple effect that touches hundreds, even thousands, of lives for Christ. Heaven will tell the story of the ripples that keep going and going for His glory.

Dear Lord, thank You for the ripple effect You create in and through our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Blessings ♡ Grace
