Do you need a touch of God's mercy today? All you need to do is cry out to Him. Then receive a touch from the Master's hand.
Ten lepers stood at a distance while Jesus was passing through their town. They cried out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" (Luke 17:13). He saw them, and told them to go and show themselves to the priests. And as they were on their way, they were healed.
Then, according to the account in Luke, we are given added information that shows us what means the most to Jesus —
Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:15-16
Jesus goes on to say that the one who said thank you gave glory to God (Luke 17:18).
Every day we receive touches of mercy from the Lord. What would happen if we stopped and said thank You to Him for every gift He gives us, both small and large? I think we would be filled with a heart of thanksgiving.
Let us always be the ones who fall at the feet of Jesus and say, "Thank You, Lord."
Lord, today our hearts are filled with gratitude. Thank You for all Your amazing blessings in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
