Do you need to hear from God right now? God does indeed have something to say to you. There is one place you can go to hear Him speak; the Bible, for it is the living Word of God.
The writer of Hebrews reveals the truth about the Bible —
For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart
Hebrews 4:12 AMP
Oh, I love these words so much because they show me the power of God's Word. It is alive and full of power. It is spoken by God. This means that God is present with you in His Word, speaking it to you with great power and authority. When you read on in this verse, you see that God's Word accomplishes deep heart change and thought transformation.
No time is ever wasted in the Word of God. Open the pages of God's Word and you will hear God calling out to you with all He wants you to know.
So today, dear friend, if you want to hear from God, simply open the pages of His Word and listen for all He has to say to you.
Lord, today we thank you for Your Word that is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. In Jesus' name, Amen.
