God is a Master Artist and His handiwork is on display in His magnificent creation. Every day we have the privilege of seeing Him at work as He paints beauty all around us.
The wildflowers and snow-covered mountains in the Coachella Valley of California where I live have been awesome and breathtaking reminders of God's creation.
There is another masterpiece that God is designing in addition to all the beauty we see on earth. That masterpiece is you!
We learn this powerful truth from Paul in His letter to the Ephesians —
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10 NLT
God is weaving beauty and color and glory into the landscape of your life. Paul says, "It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13).
Never lose heart, dear friend, if things don't appear to be working out as you had hoped and planned. In God's economy, the very things that seem to disappoint us can turn into something beautiful because God is causing all things to work together for good (Romans 8:28).
So today, look to the Lord, and believe Him for something beautiful in the landscape of your life.
Lord, today we thank You for making us Your masterpiece! In Jesus' name, Amen.
