We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:2-5 HCSB
Biblical hope is the certain expectation in God and what He says. "Not one word of all the good things the Lord your God promised concerning you has failed" (Joshua 23:14). That hope leads to a firsthand experience of the love God poured out in your heart by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The experience of God's love is something no one can destroy because it is in the heart, protected by God Himself. God's love is hope's reward. Its expression is your crowning glory.
