But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer nor His lovingkindness from me.
Psalm 66:19-20
The psalms are filled with prayers, and behind this fact is a very important presumption on the part of the psalmists; God cares for them and hears their prayers…it is their exercise of faith in the facts of God as revealed in His Word. The psalmists cry out because they know He hears and will answer in His time and in His way. They have learned that sometimes a prayer requires patient waiting for the perfect timing of God. Their eyes are fixed on their God, and their hearts are steadfast as they anticipate and eagerly watch for what He will do. Have you learned this secret as it is demonstrated in the lives of the psalmists?
