Have you been carrying a load of worries lately? If so, then I have good news for you. The Lord doesn’t want you to worry. And He tells you why.
Here are His words for you when you are overwhelmed with worry …
Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things.
Matthew 6:27-31 NLT
The reason you don’t have to worry is because your Lord will certainly care for you. And the proof of it is His wonderful care for wildflowers and lilies of the field. Just look at the beauty of a flower. If He can paint beauty and care for wildflowers, certainly He will care for you.
Sometimes in the midst of worry, you have to take a step away from the worry, and think about it all from God’s perspective. God is not worried or wondering what He is going to do. Like Corrie ten Boom always used to say, “There is no panic in heaven.”
So today beloved friend, take a look at the lilies, and remember the Lord cares for you and will watch over you.
Dear Lord, thank You for taking care of me even when I don’t realize all that you are doing. Thank You that You don’t want me to worry about anything. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
