You are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
Isaiah 43:4-5 NLT
God promises to strengthen you in all things. You cannot do the impossible task set before you, but the Lord can…Great hope is attached to the promises of God in the Bible because every promise takes you beyond your own miniscule resources to the infinite resources of God. That is why your inadequacies become the qualification for experiencing His sufficiencies. Paul said, "Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God" (2 Corinthians 3:5)…J.I. Packer paints this picture: "When we walk along a clear road feeling fine, and someone takes our arm to help us, as likely as not, we shall impatiently shake him off; but when we are caught in rough country in the dark, with a storm getting up and our strength spent, and someone takes our arm to help us, we shall thankfully lean on Him." Mark your calendar the day you realize, "I can't, but He can." That will be the day when God can do a mighty work in and through you.
