On a recent myPhotoWalk through a glorious rose garden in Newport Beach, California, I noticed the swirls of the petals of a beautiful white rose.
I approached it front and center with my Nikon D810 camera and one of my favorite lenses, the Micro-Nikkor 200mm. When I brought the image into Adobe Photoshop, I was amazed at how the light actually glowed behind the flower giving it a translucent effect. It had an ethereal, supernatural look about it.
So as I pondered the processing of this image, I was inspired to create some interesting photo artistry. I added some vector images I discovered in a Sebastian Michaels Photo Artistry course, and applied an overlay blend mode, along with reducing the opacity. Then I added the verse from Psalm 139 and the message, "He Knows Me," in Helvetica Neue, reducing the print opacity so that it did not overwhelm the delicacy of the petals.
I couldn't help but think about the intricate detail in these petals and how God knows every nuance and curve. The same is true with how He knows us to the very depth of our being.
So dear friend, if you need some encouragement or find yourself in a lonely place, take heart. The Lord knows you. And He loves you.
Lord, Thank You for Your encouragement and love in times when I feel alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessings ♡ Grace
