I was up very early for a ministry event in Phoenix, Arizona, and it was still quite dark outside. Then, God gave me quite a surprise! On the way to the restaurant for breakfast, the sky lighting up at sunrise caught my eye as I looked in my rear view mirror. Oh, it was just amazingly beautiful with colors of pink, orange, and yellow. I needed that beauty on that very day and it brought such a peace to my heart as I watched God paint the sky.
Walking with God is filled with surprises. Just when you least expect it, He comes through with exactly what you needed. He is Yahweh Jireh, the Lord Will Provide. If you have a need today, then watch for God's surprise. It may not come the way you expected but He will provide. You can count on the promise in Ephesians 3:20: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."
I captured an image of the sunrise that day and immediately decided to create a myPhotoWalk Photo Artistry image to remember God's surprises in my life. This one was my favorite and I cropped it, processed it with Adobe Photoshop, then cloned out some of the straggling branches from other plants around the periphery of the main image. I added the title, God's Surprise, in Helvetica Neue and my favorite phrase from Ephesians 3:20 NIV.
So today, dear friend, if you need to believe God for His surprise provision in your life, then just hold to the words of Ephesians 3:20, draw near to God and pour out your heart, and remember that He does bring a new sunrise every morning.
Lord, thank You for Your surprises of grace and beauty and provision in our lives, especially when we least expect it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
