Oh, how I love those rare occasions when I see monarch butterflies here in the California desert. It's a rare occasion, but they are beautiful to watch as they fly, then rest on flowers with fluttering wings, ready to move on to the next resting spot at any second. When I watch butterflies, I think of freedom.
So when I found this particular picture of a butterfly after a myPhotoWalk photo shoot out in the desert floor, I decided to make a photo artistry image depicting freedom.
I processed the raw image in Adobe Camera Raw, then brought it into Adobe Photoshop for dodge and burning. To see the possibilities of color and contrast, I applied two Radlab Filters (Snap and Adrift). Then I added a edge-darkening vignette from ON1 Software. I still wanted something more to make the butterfly stand out more so I added a Rice Paper Texture Vignette from ON1 Software. Finally, I added the text with the elegant Helvetica Neue font.
I pray that as you look at this butterfly you will remember that Christ has set you free so that you may live in freedom.
God bless you as you live in freedom today.
Lord, thank You for setting me free and helping me to experience freedom in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings ♡ Grace
