Drinking From The Living Water

A Quiet Time Moment

Have you ever been so thirsty that you would give anything for a cool glass of water? As much as our bodies need water, our spiritual needs are even greater. We need living water — the pure, cleansing water flowing from the rivers of living water of the Holy Spirit.

It was the last day of the feast. For seven days, the people had watched the ceremony of water poured on the altar. And on this last day, something very important happened.

Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water."

John 7:37-38

The text in John goes on to explain that Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our source of power, comfort, encouragement, and transformation.

Oh, how we need to drink from the living waters of the Holy Spirit every day. If you are in need in any way, dear friend, then I encourage you to stop for a few moments and go to Jesus and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will do for you what you can never do for yourself. The Holy Spirit will make Christ known to you in a new and deeper way. And He will be the strength for every impossible circumstance you may face.

So today, dear friend, drink in the living water of the Holy Spirit and experience everything you need for every circumstance of life.

Lord, today we pray for Your rivers of living water to flow powerfully in our hearts. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Blessings ♡ Grace
