The life of privilege on earth is something most of us have only witnessed from afar. If you have ever visited castles in far–away countries or toured beautiful estates open to the public, you have seen things you only read about in books or watched in movies.
To live a life of privilege is to enjoy special benefits and favors that others do not have and that is not the norm for most. It is a life filled with certain advantages that others do not have.
In the case of royalty, it means servants, ladies in waiting, secretaries, money, chauffeurs, limousines, private jets, yachts, castles, designer clothes and many other amenities that we can only imagine.
Maybe you've dreamed about what it would be like to have a privileged life.
I have good news for you.
There is a life of privilege that surpasses anything found on this earth. It is the one that God tells us about in His Word.
Paul talks about it in Philippians 3:7-8 —
For Christ's sake I have counted all that was gain to me as a loss. Yes, indeed I certainly do count everything as loss compared with the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.
Philippians 3:7-8 WMS
What Paul is saying is this: I have every advantage, I have known every earthly benefit and privilege. But it is as less than nothing. It's refuse, compared with something else that is from the Lord — the priceless privilege of knowing Christ.
What Paul is describing and what God is promising in Paul's words is that He has a life for you that is more than the most, better than the best, greater than the greatest. It's something that has inestimable value and more valuable than all the money in the world. It's more satisfying than owning every palace and castle, every private jet, every expensive yacht. Whatever you can think of that would be the ultimate, what God offers is much more. The important thing to know is that this Privilege is not something that is far off, or only a dream, but is something that God has planned, prepared, and offers with open arms to you, His child.
It's the privilege of knowing and experiencing the Lord Jesus Christ moment by moment every day of your life. I discussed this very important topic in my Quiet Times For The Heart book, A Heart On Fire — Discover the Priceless Privilege of Knowing Christ.
Do you really know Christ my friends? Have you experienced Him in amazing moments not only as you read and study God's Word but as He works in your life?
I encourage you, dear friend, to invest the time and energy to draw near to the Lord, spend time with Him, and know Him moment by moment, every day of your life.
Then you will enjoy the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus your Lord.
May you and I continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Dear Lord, thank You for the priceless privilege of knowing You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings ♡ Grace
