Could you use some peace in your life? And yet, somehow you can't seem to find your way to that place where all is calm.
Here's an answer – Take some time in the morning to sit with the Lord and you will discover that solitude and stillness you are longing to embrace.
Peace is found in the Lord, not in the circumstance.
Jesus said —
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 NLT
The things you experience in life may feel too much for you, but they are not overwhelming to the Lord. He is the overcomer and He can handle anything that comes your way today. So find your rest in Him. Sit still with Him and you will experience a peaceful morning that will lead you into a day of joy.
I love an early morning view of the ducks swimming in the water with the sun just rising above the mountains. I love the reflections of trees and sky on the water. Sometimes I just sit there and watch the Lord paint the sky and capture images with my camera. As I sit there I talk with the Lord about many things that are on my heart. I open the pages of His Word and listen for Him to speak. These times bring such peace to my heart. I know that the Lord Jesus is not worried or anxious about anything. His confidence and care inspires me to a life with more peace and joy.
So today, dear friend, draw near to the Lord, spend time with Him and experience the strength that comes from a peaceful morning with Jesus.
Dear Lord, thank You for the peace I have in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
