Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my groaning. Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray. In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.
Psalm 5:1-3
One of the happy truths of the Christian life is that the dark roads are not without purpose, but weave into God's grand design. We can confidently walk on, faithfully following our Lord. Though we know not where we are going, we know God has a plan and we can count on it. Some roads require a patient waiting until God rings us out into that broad place where we see what He was up to from the first. Waiting is imperative in the prayer that takes us higher with the Lord. Some of the most magnificent vistas are reached only through the most treacherous passages. So, dear friend, as you go on with the Lord this day, draw near to Him and ask Him to give you a deep trust and a willingness to wait on Him.
