The woman was left alone with Jesus. He looked into her eyes and told her that He did not condemn her and that she should go and leave her life of sin. Somehow, He gave her the hope of a changed life, a new lifestyle that was not like the adulterous one that she had become trapped in (see John 8:1-11). Saul experienced a similar radical change…The change in Saul ultimately influenced the entire world. Because of Jesus, he became Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles. The gospel of Jesus Christ offers the promise of new life, filled with meaning and purpose. This new life is possible because we become new creations, transformed by Jesus Christ through His life within us. This is what personal revival is all about. God changes you from within and carries out His purposes in your life.
