Revive me according to Your word.

Who is the man or woman God uses in revival? It is the one who knows how to grasp the promises of God and claim them in every circumstance of life. The Word of God is written for you. Its promises belong to you. The Lord loves it when people claim His promises. He loves you to be bold in your activity with His Word. When the psalmist prays to be revived "according to Your word," he is claiming God's promise to revive. He is saying that God has promised to revive him, so now he is asking for what God has promised. Revival is not the psalmist's idea; it is God's idea first. In claiming God's promise to revive, the psalmist has made His promise the greatest thing in his circumstance and is standing on it by faith. The promise has become a firm foundation, a rock, where nothing can move him…In every circumstance, always take God's promise in His Word and calculate it as greater than anything you face in life.
