I stood outside on a crisp morning, breathing in the cool fresh air in Temecula Valley CA where the landscapes are lush and the sky is clear. I couldn't resist going on a myPhotoWalk adventure with my Nikon D810 camera, Nikkor 24-120mm lens, and a trusty Gitzo tripod.
Almost immediately, I discovered this amazing trellis covered with green vines surrounded by a rainbow of flowers.
As I stood there looking through the trellis to the beautiful mountains beyond, I thought of a verse I have always loved —
Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely
1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT
It is as though we see the reality of God and all His promises from a distance. We look at everything through the mirror of God's Word. It gives us reality and the truth. Yet it is like a reflection that becomes clouded with the present temporal life. If we will only stop to look, opening the pages of God's Word, we will discover those truths we can count on in every situation.
So today, if you find your vision a bit clouded with the difficult circumstance, will you stop and look through God's Word to reality and truth from God? You will discover a new peace and joy in the midst of these things that are passing away.
Dear Lord, thank You for the blessed assurance of Your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen.
