God's Amazing Love

A Quiet Time Moment

God loves you. His love is seen throughout Scripture. And yet, there are days when our hearts just might doubt how much God cares. We may wonder about His compassionate love when we face impossible circumstances. Then, when you least expect it, God reaches out and answers in your time of need. Oh yes, He loves us, He hears our prayers, and He responds with divine rescues and deliverance.

That's how it was for the children of Israel. In their most desperate moment, crushed with affliction by the Egyptians, they cried out in desperation. And oh, what a response God gave them.

We learn what happened from God's perspective in Exodus 2:24-25 —

So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.

Exodus 2:24-25

God met with Moses on Mt. Sinai and called him to lead His people out of Egypt. He gave Moses the plan and revealed His covenant memorial name, YAHWEH. He showed Moses that He is everything we need for every circumstance of life. He also revealed that He was going to rescue His people and bring them to a good and spacious land.

God kept all His promises and revealed His amazing love to both Moses and the children of Israel. And God keeps all His promises to you and has revealed His amazing love through Christ, who died for us while we were yet sinners.

1 John 4:8 tells us that "God is love." Do you know God's amazing love today? Will you receive God's promise today that He loves you? It's everywhere in the Bible. John 3:16, a well-known verse to most, says it so well. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

Think on those words for awhile and receive and surrender to God's love for you. It's more than a feeling. It's a fact. Put your faith in the fact of God's love and watch how your confidence and trust in God grow stronger.

And then, you will bow in worship to your Lord. I love this flower that I found on a myPhotoWalk adventure with the Lord in beautiful Sedona AZ. The delicate flower was all by itself, but it seemed to be reaching up to the sky proud of its full bloom. Let's be like this flower and worship the LORD "in the splendor of His holiness" (Psalm 29:2).

Lord, today I want to thank You that You love me and reach out and answer in my time of need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Blessings ♡ Grace
