Fruit That Remains

A Quiet Time Moment

I have been thinking a lot lately about our focus and direction in life. To me, the most important thing about my life is giving God all the moments in my days, running the race He has set before me with intention, abiding in Him, and then trusting Him to produce the beautiful fruit that remains and brings Him great glory.

As I was walking around this beautiful estate in Sedona, Arizona, with my Sony A6000 camera in hand at a myPhotoWalk photo shoot, I noticed a beautiful pomegranate hanging from a tree. I zoomed in on it, and carefully captured an image. And then, I just stopped to look at its beauty. That pomegranate didn't just happen, but was the result of careful watering, fertile soil, and sunlight. Ultimately, God is the One who thought up the pomegranate, just one of many kinds of fruit He designed.

Jesus speaks of fruit in our lives when He says —

You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

John 15:16

I will never forget the day over thirty years ago that the Lord gave me the idea for Quiet Time Ministries. I was so excited to begin a ministry and answered His call to "go and bear fruit" through this amazing ministry. I had no idea how He would touch so many lives through books and messages that He has helped me write over these many years.

Just in the last couple of months, I have watched hundreds of men and women impacted by our Quiet Time Studies and it thrills my heart. One woman shared recently that quiet time is the most important part of her day because of her time reading and studying Six Secrets To A Powerful Quiet Time.

We at Quiet Time Ministries are greatly encouraged by the many groups of men and women who use our Quiet Time Studies to draw near to the Lord and grow in their relationship with Him.

I recently spent some time with some friends I've known for almost twenty years who grew deeper in quiet time through the many studies from Quiet Time Ministries. They were talking together about all that God is teaching them in their quiet time. I smiled and said silently to the Lord, "Lord, how beautiful Your work is in the lives of these women. Thank you for producing fruit that remains." I also thought about how all of the work that the Lord is doing through Quiet Time Ministries is made possible by those who join with us in ministry through their financial gifts and prayers. I am so very thankful.

Oh, what joy to follow Christ! And may you, dear friends, continue to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). If you want encouragement along the way, then I invite you to get one of our Quiet Time Studies and draw near to God in His Word. And I invite you to Donate Now — Quiet Time Ministries through your financial gifts and prayers, as we together teach devotion to God and His Word to men and women throughout the world.

God bless you as you continue on in the great adventure of knowing Him.

Lord, today we thank you for the fruit you produce in our lives and how it is fruit that remains. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Blessings ♡ Grace
