Why is it that you can always dare to hope even when you face difficult or impossible circumstances?
Because God's faithfulness is great, His love never ends, and His mercies are new every morning.
He promises.
Here is what we learn in Lamentations 3:21-26 —
Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, "The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!" The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD.
Lamentations 3:21-26 NLT
This passage of Scripture becomes our teacher in a difficulty. We learn exactly what to do when we become afraid or start to worry. Dare to hope and quietly wait for God. He is working on your behalf though you may not realize it at the present time. Depend on God. Look for Him daily and walk with Him moment by moment.
I love early mornings in the California desert, especially in the heat of summer ahead of a thunderstorm. Out there alone with God, I watch as He brings the sun up and paints the sky in dramatic golds, reds, and gleaming yellows. It happens every day. He never fails.
And so it is with His mercy, faithfulness, and love. He never fails. You can count on Him.
So dear friend, dare to hope today because of your great God. He will never fail you or forsake you.
Dear Lord, thank You that I can dare to hope and depend on You today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
