Have you discovered the beauty and solitude of the early morning? Jesus knew the great value of the early morning. We learn from Mark 1:35 that "In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there."
I have always loved the early morning for quiet time with the Lord. It is my favorite time of the day and it is filled with rich adventure and discovery.
On this particular morning, I looked out the window and saw just a hint of color in the sky. So, of course, I grabbed my little Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera and went to my favorite desert place for a myPhotoWalk photo shoot of the sunrise. What can I say? It was breathtaking and beautiful out there in the desert.
So I decided to make a photo artistry image with this particular view of the landscape, highlighting the whole beauty and wonder of the early morning.
I processed the image in Adobe Camera Raw, then added a Topaz Impression filter to give it a painterly look. Than, I added the words of Mark 1:35 with the Helvetica Neue font.
So dear friend, I encourage you to follow the example of Jesus and get up in the early morning and draw near to God. You will find your time alone with Him in the solitude of the morning hour to be comforting, encouraging, and exciting.
Dear Lord, thank You for the early mornings when You and I spend quiet time together. In Jesus' name, Amen.
