A Future And A Hope

A Quiet Time Moment

A future and a hope – You can't buy it, but you can receive it. Dear friends, when you know Christ Jesus, then you can be assured that you always have a future and a hope.

God has promised us all a future and a hope. Listen to these words —

For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 NASB

Sometimes things look so bleak when we look at them with our physical eyes, fixed on circumstances in the world where we live. And when we only look at the temporal and the things of the earth, we can easily fall into despair and discouragement, and feel as though there is no hope.

And if this is where you live, then I am here to show you a whole new way to think and look that will lead you to a new hope.

Paul shows us the way to hope when he writes —

So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Jeremiah 29:11 NASB

When we look at forever, then we move into the realm of hope. You will discover that the promise of forever shows you that you have a future and a hope. And then you will truly HOPE — holding on with patient expectation.

Listen to some of these promises of forever in Revelation 21:3-7 —

And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." Then He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. "He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son."

Revelation 21:3-7

And then, just to add to those wonderful promises of our future and a hope, we all need to understand that we are going to see the face of God and we will reign forever and ever (Revelation 22:4-5).

Oh dear friend, today take hold of forever, and live with the joy of your future and your hope.

Lord, today we thank you for giving us a future and a hope in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Blessings ♡ Grace
